Siraj began his cricket career with the Charminar Cricket Club, where he was noticed for taking five wickets, which earned him a spot in the Under-23 team. He made his debut for Hyderabad in November 2015, having previously represented the senior zonal team. Siraj became Hyderabad’s top wicket-taker and the third-highest wicket-taker overall by taking 41 wickets in just nine matches to help them reach the Ranji Championships quarterfinals in 2016. He did a good job and was in the Rest of India and India A teams that went to South Africa in 2017.
